Produced by the ⁠UK Green Building Council, the Whole Life Carbon Framework provides a practical structure for reducing carbon emissions throughout a building’s entire life cycle - from early strategy and construction through occupation, maintenance and end of life. It is intended for developers, building owners and operators, designers, consultants, contractors, facilities managers, product manufacturers and local planning authorities. Rather than acting as a certification scheme, the framework helps these audiences translate net-zero ambitions into consistent decisions, responsibilities and measurable actions.
